On Saturday afternoon the Butler Women's Tennis team defeated Valparaiso by a score of 7-0. 

The match began with doubles play, where Butler was able to earn the point. On court 1 the duo of Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington captured the win over Moria Silva and Brynn Steven 6-1. That win was all Butler needed to clinch the doubles point, on court 3 Butler won by default due to injury.

As for singles, the Dawgs were able to sweep the Beacons. On court 1 junior Chase Metcalf won her second singles match in a row. Metcalf edged out Silva Moria 7-5, 7-5. On court 2 Norah Balthazor comfortably defeated Jolene Fernandes 6-3, 6-2. Moving to court 3, Katie Beavin surpassed Brynn Steven 6-2, 7-5. 

Brooke Arington and Lauren Cook each beat their opponents by a score of 6-1, 6-0. Butler won their 7th point of the match via default due to injury. Emma Beavin picked up that win. 

The Dawgs will be back in action Friday March 21st where they will travel to Louisville to take on the Cardinals. That match will start at 12pm.
