Host Akron posted an 11-5 win over Butler Sunday afternoon at the Stile Athletics Field House in Ohio.
 
Butler's five goals came from Annika Bennett, Makenna Evans, Elise Latham, Matye Riley, and Katie Smyka. Emma Palmer handed out an assist. Alyssa Lentz had eight saves for the Bulldogs.
 
With the win, Akron improves to 4-2 on the season, while Butler falls to 0-4.
 
Akron's Noelle Boyd, Jaelyn Clinkscales, and Sienna Hinchcliffe combined to score seven goals for the Zips.
 
The goal by Evans tied the match at 2-2 with 59 seconds remaining in the first half, before the next three goals belonged to the Zips to take a 5-2 halftime lead.
 
Butler opens the home portion of the 2025 schedule Friday, hosting Eastern Michigan at 3 p.m.
