Butler Set for Two Matches This Weekend

The Butler Women's Tennis team is set for two matches this weekend. On Friday March 21st, they will make the short trip to Louisville Kentucky to take on the Louisville Cardinals. That match will start at 12pm. Then on Sunday March 23rd the Dawgs will host Georgetown at the Indianapolis Racquet Club.

Louisville will enter the match against Butler with an 8-5 record and a 5-2 record in home matches. The Cardinals have key wins over Indiana, Xavier, and Florida State.

The Georgetown Hoyas are 6-6 on the season and 3-2 in conference play. The Hoyas conference wins came against Marquette, Providence, and Seton Hall.

As for Butler, last Saturday March 15th the Dawgs traveled to Valparaiso and picked up a 7-0 win. That win moved the Dawgs record to 3-9 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. In the match against Valparaiso junior Chase Metcalf picked up her sixth singles win on the season which leads the team.

Metcalf and the Dawgs will look to grab a win against Louisville on Friday, then pick up their first conference win on Sunday against Georgetown.
