Butler Heads East to Battle Against Villanova

The Butler women's lacrosse team will hit the road to Villanova, Pa. to face off against the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.

Butler dropped their first conference game of the season last Saturday against Marquette 5-16
Elise Latham added another goal against Marquette to bring her season total to a team-high 14 goals
- Latham has scored at least one goal in every game this season
Maggie Lewis netted her eighth goal of the season against Marquette last Saturday
- She has also earned at least one goal in every match in her career
Patricia Lynn moved up to third on Butler's all-time career draw controls list with 92
- Lynn currently ranks ninth in the Big East with an average of 3.19 draw controls this season
Alyssa Lentz currently leads the Big East and ranks 16th in the NCAA with 10.14 saves per game this season
- Her 71 saves this season also rank second in the conference

Scouting Villanova

Villanova leads the all-time series 8-0 over Butler. In the last meeting, the Bulldogs scored 11 goals, which was the most in the series history.
Villanova is currently 1-0 in the BIG EAST and 7-3 overall this season
Emma Verhoest has dominated draw controls this season holding an average of 10.40 this season which leads the Big East and ranks fifth in the NCAA
Sami Carey's 27 assists this season lead the conference and rank 14th in the country
Sydney Pappas is the team's leading scorer with 24 goals this season
- She has collected 10 goals in her last three games
