McGuff Tabbed CSC Academic All-District

| By:
Butler guard Kilyn McGuff earned Academic All-District honors on Thursday after an announcement by College Sports Communicators.

All-District accolades recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

McGuff was a Second Team All-BIG EAST selection this year after averaging a team-best 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds. She ranked fifth in the BIG EAST in rebounds per game, sixth in minutes played (33.6) and 10th in free throw percentage (77.0).

The transfer from Belmont recorded 10 double-doubles in her lone season with the Bulldogs. She had a season-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Boise State and posted a career-high 17 rebounds to go along with 18 points against Marquette.

McGuff and the Bulldogs will be back in action tomorrow with a WNIT Super 16 game at Purdue Fort Wayne. Tip at the Gates Sports Center is set for 7 p.m.
