The Butler Women's Tennis team will travel to Storrs Connecticut to play two conference matches this weekend. On Saturday March 29th the Dawgs will take on Providence College at 1pm. Then on Sunday the 30th, Butler will take on the UCONN Huskies. That match will begin at 11am. Both matches will be played the on the University of Connecticut Tennis Courts.
Providence comes into the weekend with a record of 2-11.
Connecticut enters the weekend with a record of 11-2 and 5-0 in conference play. Along the way the Huskies have taken down Creighton, Xavier, and Marquette. Additionally, Uconn is on a 5 match winning streak and are undefeated on their home courts.
As for Butler, they are 4-10 on the year and 1-1 in conference play. Last weekend they split a pair of matches. They dropped their match against Louisville but were able to pick up a 4-3 conference win against Georgetown. The doubles duo of
Chase Metcalf and
Brooke Arington won both of their matches over the weekend, which led to them receiving the honor of BIG EAST Women's Doubles Team of the Week.
Metcalf, Arington, and the rest of the Dawgs will look to have continued success this weekend.
