On Saturday afternoon the Butler Women's Tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over the Providence Friars. With the win the Dawgs are now 5-10 on the year and 2-1 in conference play. 

Butler got off to a hot start. They earned the doubles point thanks to wins on courts 1 and 2. On court 1 the duo of Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington picked up their 8th win as a duo on the season. They beat Alison Root and Flora Eidson 6-2. On court 2 Norah Balthazor and Lauren Cook cruised past Elisa Davalos and Lauren Carson 6-2. 

Moving to singles, it was a sweep for the Bulldogs. On court 1 Chase Metcalf won her 9th singles match on the season, she took down Flora Eidson 6-0, 6-0. On court 2 Norah Balthazor picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over Mae Abreu. Moving over to court 3, Emma Beavin took down Elise Leik 6-2, 6-3. 

On courts 4, 5, and 6 it was more of the same. On court 4 freshman Brooke Arington beat Alison Root 6-4, 6-0. On courts 5 and 6 the score was the same, 6-1, 6-3. On court 5, Lauren Cook defeated Lauren Carson and on court 6 Emma Beavin got the better of Erika Beltran. 

Butler is right back in action again tomorrow. They will take on Uconn at 11am.
