Butler Drops Home Opener to Eastern Michigan

The Bulldogs dropped their first home game of the season against Eastern Michigan 10-4 at Varsity Field on Friday afternoon. 

The Eagles began the game on top 2-0 in the first quarter before Butler mounted a comeback led by a goal and assist from Chloe Hall and Elise Latham to tie the game at 3-3 at halftime.

Latham would add another goal in the third quarter, but Eastern Michigan would then pull away taking the game 10-4.

  • Elise Latham added two goals and an assist on four shots to bring her season total to nine goals
  • Chloe Hall netted her third goal of the season and her first career assist
  • Makenna Evans scored a goal to reach five goals this season
  • Patricia Lynn padded the stats with four ground balls, three draw controls, and a pair of caused turnovers
  • Alyssa Lentz made 13 saves and three ground balls
