On Saturday afternoon, Butler took down Marquette 7-0. The Dawgs are now 4-3 in conference play and 7-12 overall on the season. 

The Dawgs jumped out to a hot start, thanks to wins on courts 1 and 2 during doubles action. On court 1, Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington defeated Emma Davis and Andie Weise 6-1. On court 2, Norah Balthazor and Lauren Cook knocked off Aiyana Abbott and Elena Duva 6-4. Those two wins were enough for the Dawgs to earn the doubles point. 

As for singles play, Butler took complete control winning all six matches. On court 1, Chase Metcalf dropped the first set and was able to recover and take down Andie Weise 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. On court 2, Norah Balthazor and Emma Davis split the first two sets and in the third set, Balthazor was able to pull away and take it 6-2. She won the match 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. On court 3, Katie Beavin beat Aiyana Abbott in straight sets 6-2, 7-6. 

On courts 4 through 6, Brooke Arington, Lauren Cook, and Emma Beavin all won their matches making the final score 7-0. 

The Dawgs will be right back in action tomorrow morning for their final match of the season. They will host Dayton at 10am. Butler will also celebrate Senior Day tomorrow.
