Butler Takes 2025 Lady Jaguar Invitational Title

The Bulldogs captured the 2025 Lady Jaguar Invitational in the team's final outing prior to the BIG EAST Championship.
 
Butler, which put eight players among the Top 20 individually, led after both Saturday's first 18 and Sunday's final round. With rounds of 307 and 310, the Bulldogs' total of 617 (+41) gave the team a six-shot win over runner-up Green Bay. There were a total of seven teams in the field.
 
Sophie McGinnis and Cybil Stillson led the way for the Bulldogs, tying for fourth at nine-over 153. Stillson's 76 Sunday matched the Bulldogs' best round of the day. She utilized a pair of birdies on the 6,157-yard Plum Creek course in Carmel, Ind.
 
That Butler duo was joined by Treva Dodd (sixth), Madalin Small (eighth), and Kelli Scheck and Ashley Freitas (tying for ninth) among the Top 10. Maddie Diedrich and Katie Steinman were among the Top 20.
 
DePauw's Becky Williams took medalist honors, finishing at even-par 144. She followed up her four-under 68 in the first round with a four-over 76 Sunday.

UP NEXT: The Bulldogs head to the 2025 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship at Riverton Pointe in Hardeeville, S.C. The 54-hole event begins Saturday and runs through Monday.
