Butler Set to Travel to Central Michigan and Denver

The Butler women's lacrosse team continues the road trip with stops at Central Michigan on Wednesday and Denver on Saturday.

  • Butler dropped the first game of the road trip at Georgetown to fall to 0-11 on the season
  • The Bulldogs lead the conference with lowest average of 13.82 turnovers per game
  • Elise Latham leads the country in free position goal percentage at 81.8%
    • Latham added two goals and an assist against the Hoyas to bring her season totals to team-high 24 goals and five assists
  • Annika Bennett set a new career-high with three goals last Saturday all in the first half
    • Bennett also added a pair of ground balls along with a caused turnover and draw control at Georgetown
  • Alyssa Lentz still leads the Big East and ranks 16th in the NCAA with an average of 10.09 saves per game
    • Lentz blocked nine shots on Saturday against the Hoyas
  • Patricia Lynn had three ground balls and three caused turnovers on Saturday in Washington, D.C. 
    • She now leads the team in both caused turnovers (10) and draw controls (27) this season.

  • The Chippewas lead Butler all-time with a record of 1-5
    • The Bulldogs won the last meeting 13-12 in 2024
  • Central Michigan enters the game with records of 4-9 overall and 3-2 in the MAC
  • The Chippewas have struggled on offense ranking last in the MAC with 8.38 goals per game
  • Skye DePrado is the team's top offensive weapon after leading the team in 24 goals in 11 appearances
  • Alexa Martel currently ranks second in the country with an average of 12.00 saves per game
    • Martel won MAC Goalkeeper of the Year last year after finishing second in the NCAA with 202 total saves last season
SCOUTING DENVER
  • Butler has never beaten Denver losing the last eight games
    • Denver won 20-5 in the last meeting in Indianapolis in 2024
  • The Pioneers lead the Big East with an average of 14.50 goals per game
    • Denver also has the highest team save percentage in the conference at 45.7%
  • Olivia Ripple (44) and Lauren Black (40) have each scored 40 goals this season
  • Lexi Gwaku has a 56.3% save percentage which ranks second in the Big East
  • Sarah Pokorny leads the Big East with an average of 1.93 caused turnovers per game
