Butler Hosts Final Game of the Season Against Xavier on Senior Day

The Butler women's lacrosse team will play their final game of the season on Saturday, April 26 against Xavier at Varisty Field. The Bulldogs will also be celebrating Senior Day for eight of the seniors who are set to graduate this spring.

Bulldog Bits
  • Butler fell in both matches last week at Central Michigan and Denver on their final road trip of the season.
  • The Bulldogs lead the Big East with the least turnovers per game at 13.92.
  • Elise Latham has the chance to be the first Bulldog to ever score in every game in a single season in program history.
    • Latham extended her scoring streak to 13 consecutive games with at least one goal bringing her season total to 27 goals which ranks as the seventh most in a single season in program history.
  • Alyssa Lentz is the only goalie in the Big East average 10.00 saves per game or more this season
    • Her average of 10.00 saves per game is currently tied for 14th in the NCAA
  • After totalling only six goals in her first 10 games this season, Annika Bennett has scored seven in the last three games.
  • Riley Ryan has found her stride at the end of the season collecting two goals and five assists in the last three games.
    • Ryan now leads the team with six assists this season.
  • Patricia Lynn leads the team with 31 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers
Scouting Xavier
  • The Musketeers enter the final game of the season with a 1-13 overall records and 0-5 conference record
  • The Bulldogs lead Xavier with an all-time record of 2-0
    • Butler won the most recent meeting 16-10 in Cincinnati last season
  • The Musketeers the Big East with an average of 10.23 saves per game
    • However, Xavier also holds the most goals allowed per game at 16.93
  • Lola Mancuso is the Musketeers' top offensive weapon leading the team with 40 total goals this season
    • Mancuso ranks third in the conference with an average of 3.08 goals per game
  • Morgan Handzel has dominated the faceoffs winning 96 draw controls this season
    • Handzel's average of 7.38 draw controls per game ranks second in the conference this season
