Butler Defeats Georgetown 4-3

Sunday morning, the Butler Men's Tennis team took down the Georgetown Hoyas 4-3 improving their record to 12-8 on the season and 4-1 in conference. With the win, Butler has now won six of their last seven matches. 

To start the match, Georgetown won the doubles point thanks to wins on courts 1 and 3. 

As for singles, the Dawgs won four of the six matches. On court 1 Patrick Joss picked up his 8th singles win on the season, he took down Arthur O'Sullivan 6-3, 7-5. On court 2, Riccardo Baldi stayed hot picking up his 9th singles win on the season, he beat Akira Morgenstern in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6. Moving to court 3 where Nicolas Arts was able to control the match vs Sahil Morey. Arts won comfortably, 6-1, 6-3. As for the match on court 6, Aidan William dropped the first set but was able to earn a come from behind victory against Jacob Mann. William took the match by a score of 6-7, 6-3, 6-4.

The Dawgs will celebrate senior and play their final match of the regular season next Saturday April 12th at 3pm against Marquette.
