INDIANAPOLIS IND.- On Sunday afternoon, the Butler Women's Lacrosse team fell to the University of California, Davis 17-7 at Varsity Field. The story of the game for the Bulldogs was Elise Latham and Maggie Lewis each scored three goals. 

Butler was able to strike first, Maggie Lewis fired one in the back of the net giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead early in the first quarter. UC Davis then responded with 4 goals of their own before Lewis scored again bringing the Butler within two.  

In the second quarter, UC Davis found the back of the net three times extending their lead to 7-2. After the three goal flurry from the Aggies, the Bulldogs responded. Annika Bennett and Elise Latham scored back to back bringing the Butler to within three. The Aggies then scored 3 more before the 1st half ended. 

In the second half the Aggies were able to pull away and close out the match.
