INDIANAPOLIS, April 8, 2025 – All Good Dawgs, the Butler alumni team hosting The Basketball Tournament's (TBT) regional at Hinkle Fieldhouse from July 19-22, today announced the roster addition of former Bulldog Sean McDermott.
McDermott joins All Good Dawgs' roster as the first player commitment. Additional roster announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
McDermott played for All Good Dawgs in their debut tournament last summer, averaging 25 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
McDermott spent four years at Butler (2016–20), appearing in 125 games. Making an immediate impact as a freshman, McDermott helped lead the Bulldogs to the Sweet 16. He returned to the NCAA Tournament as a sophomore and became a key contributor in his final two seasons, leading the team in three-pointers made as both a junior and senior. In his senior year, he averaged 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, ranking second on the team in both categories.
After going undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft, McDermott signed a two way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. After spending three seasons with the Grizzlies and NBA G League's Memphis Hustle, McDermott made the move overseas, playing professionally in Italy and Turkey. McDermott currently plays for Pallacanestro Trieste of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A.
The winner of the Indianapolis Regional will advance to the TBT Quarterfinals on July 28. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and the TBT $1 Million Championship will be played on Aug. 3.
For the first time, TBT will give each host team the opportunity to have home court advantage for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the $1 million championship game. Should two regional hosts face off, the tie breaker will be determined by which host sells 4,000 tickets the fastest.
Tickets will go on sale May 6. To be the first to secure tickets for the event, fans can sign up for ticket and team updates at https://tbthoops.com/tickets/updates/.
