Hamlin’s New Season Best Highlights the Billy Hayes Invitational

The Butler track and field team competed in the final meet before the conference championships at the BIlly Hayes Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Jesse Hamlin led the way in the men's 1,500 meters, running a time of 3:39.60 to take second. His mark is a season best and now ranks fifth in the Big East.

On the women's side, Jocelyn Davis ran a new personal record in the 200 meters at 24.38. Her performance was the sixth fastest for the event in the conference this season.

Other top Bulldog performers included:
  • Aedan Rendek posted a new personal best in the men's 800 meters at 1:51.98
  • Austin Gabay took fourth in the men's 1,500 meters at 3:42.22
  • Joseph Pierro record a new lifetime best at 21.43 in the men's 200 meters
  • Cabott Craft reached a distance of 7.19 meters in the men's long jump
  • Camille El Baghlouli earned a new personal best in the women's 1,500 meters with a time of 4:28.17

The Bulldogs will gear up for the Big East Conference Championships next week beginning on May 15 in Storrs, Conn.
