| By:
Three student-athletes on the Butler women's golf team – Sophie McGinnis, Kelli Scheck, and Cybil Stillson – have been recognized by College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District®.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

McGinnis, a junior from Westfield, Indiana, played 22 rounds over eight tournaments this year for Butler. Her 77.14 average was sixth on the team. The junior was medalist in Butler's Don Benbow Spring Invitational, firing rounds of 76 and 73. She also had a top-four finish at the Lady Jaguar Invitational and tied for sixteenth in the BIG EAST Championship.

Scheck, from Greensboro, Georgia, led Butler with a 75.85 average over 34 rounds in 12 events. She won the Butler Fall Invitational with a par on the third playoff hole after shooting a 68 in the first of three rounds. The junior also finished in the top five in the Brittany Kelly Classic, carding her other sub-par round of the season.

Stillson, a junior from Nappanee, Indiana, used 34 rounds over 12 tournaments to produce a 76.41 scoring average, which was fifth for the Bulldogs. She had two top-five finishes this year – a tie for fourth, at the Lady Jaguar Invitational, and a tie for fifth, at the Loyola Parkinson Invitational. In the latter event, she fired a one-under par 70 in the first round and an even-par 72 in the third, finishing just two over par for the tournament.
