Butler WBB IU and Columbia

Bulldogs Add Indiana and Columbia to Non-Conference Slate

| By:
The Butler women's basketball team added two opponents to their 2025-26 non-conference schedule today. BU will head to Indiana on Wednesday, Nov. 19 to face the Hoosiers at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Bulldogs will now also host the Columbia Lions on Friday, Nov. 7.

With the addition of Columbia, Butler is now set to host seven home games inside Hinkle Fieldhouse before the start of BIG EAST play. The two opponents added today were NCAA Tournament teams just one year ago. IU won their first-round matchup against Utah before falling to top-seeded South Carolina. Columbia faced Washington in the First Four and would eventually fall to West Virginia in the First Round.

The Lions won 24 games in 2024-25 while the Hoosiers reached 20. One of IU's 13 losses last year came at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Bulldogs topped the Hoosiers 56-46 by limiting IU to just 18 second half points.

Just last week, Butler announced their Fort Meyers Tip-Off opponents. They will play Dayton the day after Thanksgiving and end the trip with a contest vs. Georgia on Nov. 29.

Home games slated before the Florida trip include matchups against Wright State, Central Michigan, Northern Kentucky and Milwaukee. Indiana State and Eastern Illinois also appear on the upcoming schedule in December.

Head Coach Austin Parkinson is entering his fourth season at the helm of the program in 2025-26. The Bulldogs have reached the postseason in each of the last two years making trips to the WNIT.

BU bolstered their roster with seven incoming transfers and two freshmen. This group will get the year started with a Kid's Day game against Wright State on Nov. 3. That game will tip at 11 a.m.
