Butler's 2025 cross country schedules have been announced for both the men's and women's programs.
 
Butler opens the season Friday, Sept. 5 at the Mike Baumer XC Classic, hosted by Wright State in Fairborn, Ohio. That is the only meet prior to the BIG EAST Championships that both Butler's men and women will compete in together.
 
On Sept. 26, the Bulldog men travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Classic. The Gans Creek Cross Country Course will also host the NCAA Championships Nov. 22. The Butler men will also face a nationally-elite field Oct. 18 in Madison, Wis., at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. The Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course recently served as the site of the 2024 NCAA Championships and the 2023 NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
 
Butler's women have three additional meets leading into the BIG EAST Championships: the Rumble In The Fort Sept. 20 in Fort Wayne, Ind., the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic Oct. 4, and the Bradley "Pink" Classic in Peoria, Ill., Oct. 17.
 
The Butler men and women will reunite for the BIG EAST Championships, slated for Friday, Oct. 31 in Ashland, Neb., near the Creighton campus. The Butler men have won three of the last five conference titles.  
 
It will be a short trip to the 2025 NCAA Great Lakes Regional, which will be hosted in Evansville, Ind., Friday, Nov. 14.
 
The Butler men finished 20th nationally at the 2024 NCAA Championships. William Zegarski headlines the returners after earning 2025 All-American honors with his 17^th-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships and capturing the 2024 NCAA Great Lakes Regional title.
 
Butler's women finished fifth at the 2024 BIG EAST Championships and return Elsa Rusthoven, Hannah Moore, Kylie Cline and Camille El Baghlouli who represented the Bulldogs at that meet.
