The Bulldogs opened the fall portion of the schedule over the weekend at the 2025 WMU/Vredevelt Invitational hosted by Western Michigan in Kalamazoo.
 
Butler's Ronin Kasday shined in his Bulldog debut as the freshman picked up three wins in singles play and split two doubles matches. Nicholas Balthazor also was unblemished in singles play, going 2-0. Five Bulldogs were able to post 2-1 marks in singles: Nicolas Arts, Rahulniket Konakanchi, Nicholas Shirley, Aidan William, and Siddhartha Lama.
 
Arts and Konakanchi teamed up for a 2-1 mark in doubles to lead the Bulldogs.
 
Overall, the Bulldogs posted a 16-10 mark in singles play while adding five wins in the rounds of doubles.
 
Butler was joined in the field by the host Broncos, BIG EAST foes DePaul and Marquette, as well as Cleveland State and Notre Dame. Friday featured one round of doubles and two rounds of singles, while Saturday had two rounds of doubles and one of singles. Players were divided into three groupings of singles (Gold, Silver and Black) and two doubles groupings (Gold and Silver).
 
UP NEXT: The Bulldogs return to action this weekend at the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament. Dayton will host play Friday through Sunday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
