Addi Kooi led the Bulldog effort at the season-opening Redbird Fall Invitational, tying for 12
th at 224 (+8).

As a team, the Bulldogs finished third among the 16-team field at 897 (+33). Eastern Kentucky won the event at 897 (+15), one shot better than runner-up South Dakota. EKU shot an even-par 288 Monday, which was the best team round of the tournament.

Kooi, in her Butler tournament debut, had the best Monday round among the Bulldogs with a two-over 74. She had three birdies and shot a two-under 34 on the front nine of the 6,093-yard Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill. Kooi moved from a tie for 23
rd into the tie for 12
th with her Monday scorecard.

The Bulldogs were second in the team standings entering the final round following Sunday scores of 300 and 289. Butler shot a final-round 308.

Karra Tucker of Eastern Kentucky took medalist honors in leading the Colonels to the team title. She finished at three-under 213 behind a final-round 69 that was the best Monday score. Tucker was three shots ahead of runner-up Catie Nekola of South Dakota (216).
