Swimmer of the Meet: The coaching staff chose fifth-year senior
Cotter Welch as the swimmer of the meet. Cotter has suffered several injuries and undergone at least three surgeries in the last two years. Despite all these obstacles, she was determined to come back for a fifth year, with the goal of competing with the team for the entirety of the season, which required her qualifying for the BIG EAST Conference meet at the end of our season. Today, all her hard work and dedication came to fruition, as she made the BIG EAST qualifying standard in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.71! It was a truly inspiring performance for her team to witness. Â
