The Bulldogs picked up their first win of the spring season, posting a 6-1 victory over Marian Sunday morning.
 
Butler won the doubles set with wins on courts 1 and 3. On court one, Chase Metcalf and Brooke Arington defeated Yasmin Imamniyazova and Anna Lopez 6-4. Lauren Cook and Jordan Schildcrout defeated Liliane Alinquant and Ana Barbosa 6-0 on court 3 to secure the doubles point for the Dawgs.
 
In singles play, Butler won five of the six singles matches on the day. On court one, Chase Metcalf defeated Yasmin Imamniyazova 7-6, 6-0. On court two, Brooke Arington defeated Michelle Irigoyen 6-2, 6-1.
 
On courts four through six, Lauren Cook, Sienna Miles, and Elle Martin each won their matches in straight sets.
 
Butler is back in action next weekend with a trio of road matches at Indiana, Bradley, and Illinois State.
