The Butler women's lacrosse team was picked to finish sixth in the 2026 BIG EAST Coaches' Poll. The conference made the announcement Wednesday afternoon. 

The Bulldogs received 11 total votes finishing just ahead of Xavier. Denver was chosen to finish first after earning 36 votes.

Denver's Olivia Ripple was recognized as the BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year while UConn's Abby Beran earned the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
