WGolf at Redbird Fall Invitational

Women's Golf Hosts Butler Fall Invitational Beginning Monday at Highland Country Club

| By:
The Bulldogs will welcome 13 teams to the Highland Country Club beginning Monday for their only home event on the 2026-27 schedule.

The annual Butler Fall Invitational is scheduled for 54 holes over two days.

All nine golfers on coach Christie Cates's roster will be in action. Sophomore Addi Kooi enters the tournament off her first collegiate medalist performance, winning last week's NKU Fall Invitational with a program-record score of five-under 208. She won the event by eight strokes. The BIG EAST recognized Kooi as the Women's Golfer of the Week for her efforts.

Kooi also led the Bulldogs with a Top-5 result in the season-opening Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State Sept. 13-14.

Freshman Rachel Johnson and sophomore Samantha Von Rohr also posted Top-10 finishes at the NKU event and join Kooi in the line-up. Treva Dodd and freshman Brooklynn Bohnert round out the Butler Scoring Five. That duo posted Top-10 performances alongside Kooi at Illinois State to start the season. In all, through two tournaments, Bulldogs have combined for six individual Top-10 finishes.

Four Bulldogs – Sophie McGinnis, Ashley Freitas, Kylie Eaton, and Maddie Diedrich – will compete as individuals.

The Bulldogs are joined in the field by Akron, Austin Peay, Dayton, Detroit Mercy, Green Bay, Indiana State, Loyola Chicago, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee State, UIC, Southern Indiana, and Western Illinois.

Highland Country Club -- Butler's home course – will be set up at 6,040 yards for the par-70 track.

Shotgun starts are scheduled for 9 a.m. both days. Monday's play will include 36 holes followed by a Tuesday final 18.
