The Butler women's swim team opened the 2026-27 season at the IU Indianapolis Double Dual on Saturday. The Dawgs competed in a field that was comprised of Bellarmine, Bowling Green, Eastern Illinois and Xavier. Butler defeated Xavier for the first time in program history at the event marking an excellent start to 2026.

The Bulldogs posted 26 BIG EAST qualifying times at the event and will now prepare to travel to Crawfordsville, Ind. to compete in the Swim Across America event next weekend.

- Edi Jakob placed eighth with a time of 11:07.71 in her first event as a Bulldog.

- Maggie Dahl earned first place in the 200 Free with a time of 1:53.72. Dahl's finish is her first event win in her collegiate career and ranks eighth on the all-time top 10 list in program history.
- Jenna Ridings finished 10th with a mark of 1:58.00 in her collegiate debut.
- Caitlin Herring placed 11th with a time of 1:58.31. Dahl, Ridings and Herring all posted BIG EAST qualifying times in the event.
- Sam Tomic posted a time of 2:00.34 in the event.

- Sarah Jones placed ninth with a time of 59.97.
- Sophia Amendola recorded a time of 1:01.27 which earned her 15th in the event.
- Averie Keating followed closely behind Amendola posting a time of 1:01.51, which placed her 16th.
- All three Bulldogs who swam in the event posted BIG EAST qualifying times in the event.

- Lila Glenn placed ninth with a time of 1:09.03 in her first collegiate event.

- Canale, Glenn, Eberlein and Rapetti all posted BIG EAST qualifying times.

- Kaya Robertson placed sixth with a time of 2:12.66 in her first collegiate event. Robertson's time also was a BIG EAST qualifying time in the event.
- Megan Voelker placed 15th with a time of 2:18.73.
- Edi Jakob finished 17th with a time of 2:24.22.

- Maggie Dahl placed fourth in the event with a time of 24.03.
- Ashton Mumaw earned eighth place with a time of 25.01.
- Lilly Canida tied for ninth, posting a 25.02 in the event.
