Butler wins Butler Fall Invitational

Bulldogs and Johnson Claim Butler Fall Invitational Titles

The Dawgs are now on a back-to-back streak of bringing home individual and team championship awards. The Bulldogs set a new record-low for the team's overall score, with it now standing at 16-over after 54 holes. 
 
Freshman Rachel Johnson brings home the individual award this week. Johnson opened Tuesday's final round with a two-over 37 on the front nine before closing with an even-par 35 on the back nine. She finished the tournament at 210 (E). She carded 11 birdies over the three rounds. This marks Johnson's first collegiate individual win. 
 
Treva Dodd and Addi Kooi each posted even-par 70s to lead Butler in the final round. Dodd opened with a 33 (-2) on the front nine, recording three birdies, before carding a 37 (+2) on the back nine. She finished the tournament in third place at 214 (+4). Kooi recorded a 34 (-1) on the front nine and a 36 (+1) on the back nine to finish with a 70 (E). She finished the tournament in fourth place at 215 (+5).
 
Brooklynn Bohnert carded a 3-over 73 in the final round. She finished the tournament tied for sixth with a 217 (+7). 
 
Samantha Von Rohr finished the final round at 3-over 73. She finished tied for 17th with a 221 (+11). Playing as an individual, Kylie Eaton also finished tied for 17th at 221 (+11) after posting a 4-over 74 in the final round.
 
Ashley Freitas recorded Butler's lowest round of the day Tuesday, firing a 1-under 69. She finished tied for 17th at 221 (+11). Sophie McGinnis finished at 5-over 75 in the final round. She finished in 21st at 223 (+13).
