The Butler Bulldogs took down the Fordham Rams 5-2 on Friday night. The win advances Butler to 3-6 on the season.
The Dawgs started off strong by earning the doubles point. Head coach
Sam Miles shuffled the lineup by debuting two new doubles teams, and the move paid off.
Riccardo Baldi and
Rahulniket Konakanchi picked up the win on court one by a score of 6-1. The junior duo of
Nicholas Balthazor and
Arnesh Singh picked up a 7-5 victory on court three to secure the point for Butler.
In singles play, four Bulldogs were victorious.
Ronin Kasday,
Nicolas Arts,
Nicholas Shirley, and
Siddhartha Lama each picked up a point for Butler, with all four matches decided in straight sets.
The Bulldogs have a quick turnaround as they travel to Chicago, Ill., to face the DePaul Blue Demons on Sunday. First serve is set to start at 1 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. CT.
