The Butler swim team wrapped up competition at day three of the BIG EAST Championships in Ocala, Florida on Friday. The Bulldogs currently sit in fifth place with 409 team points just ahead of Seton Hall (401).
 
Kate Schilling was spectacular in the 100 breast for BU, posting a new personal best time as well as setting a new school record with a time of 1:02.19. Schilling's third place finish is the highest in program history in the event. Butler's 400 Medley Relay team of Sarah Jones, Schilling, Ava Whittaker and Caroline Zimner finished in fifth place and set a new school record in the event, with a time of 3:48.19. Butler will return to action tomorrow for the final day of competition at the BIG EAST Championships.  
 
"We swam fast tonight," said head coach Maurice Stewart. "It was a great session and we're excited to carry the momentum into the fourth and final day of the meet!"
