The Butler track and field team concluded action in the Fairgrounds Invitational in Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman
Anna Niebrugge broke the school record in the 60-meter dash on Friday night with a time of 7.58. She then went on to break the school record in the 200-meter run on Saturday with a time of 24.26.
Two Bulldogs placed first and second in the women's 800-meter race. Poppy Healy earned first with a time of 2:11.99 and
Carys Glyn-Jones received second with a time of 2:14.56. Sophomore
Hannah Moore earned first place in the women's 3000-meter race with a time of 9:47.02.
On the men's side, the Bulldogs placed five men in the top seven of the 3000-meter race.
Brendan Thomas earned first with a time of 8:07.76.
Seth Mahony finished second with a time of 8:09.38 and
Kyle Grove finished right behind him with a time of 8:09.53.
Matteo Rosio came up with the fourth-place finish with a time of 8:09.87.
Eli Fullerton rounded out the Dawgs in sixth with a time of 8:11.97.
The Bulldogs also placed third through sixth in the men's 800-meter race.
Ryan Elston earned third with a time of 1:50.59.
Austin Gabay followed with a time of 1:50.62.
Aedan Rendek finished fifth with a time of 1:52.81.
Owen Whitney received sixth with a time of 1:53.26.
Other Top Bulldog Performers Included:
- Joe Pierro earned second place in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 21.27.
- Troy Larrison earned sixth in the men's 400-meter race with a time of 49.05.
