On Friday morning, Butler traveled to College Park, Maryland, to face Georgetown. The Hoyas won the match 6-1, advancing to 2-11 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 4-11.
Georgetown took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 and carried that momentum over to singles play, taking home victories on five of six courts. The lone point for the Bulldogs came from
Rahulniket Konakanchi at No. 4, who took down Cyrus Zia in three sets.
The Dawgs return to Indianapolis to host Bellarmine on March 20. This will be the first of a three-game homestand for Butler. First serve is set for 3 p.m. from IRC Dean Road.
