Box Score Radford, Va.- The Butler women's lacrosse team fell to Radford 15-11 on Saturday afternoon.
Elise Latham would get the Dawgs on the board first taking the 1-0 lead. Radford would add three quick goals to end the first and make it 3-1 going into the second quarter.
Raford would score first in the second with a free position goal. The Bulldogs would fight back with a free position goal by
Kerrin McGovern. Less than a minute later,
Madeline Gregston would add a goal for the Dawgs.
Riley Ryan would score for the Dawgs in the final two minutes. Radford would add one more goal in the final 10 seconds to take the lead 5-4 into the half.
After the half, Radford would come out scoring first in less than four minutes. Butler would follow with back-to-back goals by Latham and
Katie Smyka. Latham would then tally her third goal of the day to give the Dawgs their first lead since the first quarter. A goal from
Grace Churchwell and Smyka's second goal of the day would add to the Bulldogs' lead. Radford would answer with one, but Butler would respond again with another goal from McGovern to bring the Dawgs' lead to 10-7 after three.
Radford came out firing in the fourth quarter with eight-straight goals, keeping Butler scoreless until the last minute of the quarter.
Elle Tomalia would be the lone Bulldog scorer. Radford would take the win 15-11.
