COLUMBUS, Ohio - Butler fell to Ohio State 13-3 in eight innings on Saturday evening. The Dawgs held multiple leads throughout the game, but the Buckeyes' offense proved decisive in the later innings. With the loss, Butler drops to 5-18 while Ohio State improves to 9-12.

Butler immediately responded in the top of the fourth with back-to-back hits. Schebler doubled, and Duncan drove him in with an RBI single. Winders faced the minimum in the bottom of the fourth, as Butler took a 2-1 lead into the fifth inning.

Walks from Will White and Gunnar Duncan gave the Bulldogs a two-out scoring opportunity in the top of the sixth. Connor Sackett pinch-hit for Jack Zeller, but struck out looking to end the Bulldog scoring threat. Ohio State added three runs on three hits in the bottom half, giving the Buckeyes an 8-2 advantage heading into the seventh.
