On Friday afternoon, the Butler men's tennis team lost a close contest, 4-3, against Illinois State.  

Illinois State secured the doubles point with wins on courts 1 and 2. The Redbirds secured the match win, with wins on courts 2,3 and 5.  

On Court 3, the duo of Siddhartha Lama and Nicholas Balthazor won 7-5. 
 

In singles play, Butler was able to secure wins on courts 1, 4, and 6. On court one, Riccardo Baldi defeated Tomas Valencia 6-3, 6-4. Over on court four, Siddhartha Lama secured the win against Tin Ostro with a score of 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.   

On court six, Nicholas Shirley claimed victory over Manuel Pavia, winning 6-3, 6-4.
