The Butler track and field team concluded action in the Raleigh Relays on Saturday evening in Raleigh, N.C.
William Zegarski earned third-place in the men's 10,000-meter race with a time of 28:28.18. This time earned Zegarski the fourth-place spot in school history for this event and ranks him currently third in the nation.
Joe Pierro ran the 100-meter sprint with a time of 10.66. This gave Pierro the win in his section of the competition and earned him overall 42nd place out of 102 in the event. Pierro also competed in the 200-meter race and earned 27th out of 104 with a time of 21.47 seconds.
Matthew Forrester placed 21st out of 206 in the men's 5,000-meter with a time of 13:54.15.
On the women's side,
Anna Niebrugge ran the women's 100-meter race with a time of 11.72 which earned her third in her section and 17th out of 122 overall. Niebrugge placed 20th out of 149 in the women's 200-meter race with a time of 24.33 seconds.
