Coach
Matt Roe produced his 50th All-American when
Jesse Hamlin earned All-America first-team honors in the men's 3,000 meters earlier this month at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Hamlin's fifth-place finish tied the highest individual finish in Butler's indoor track and field history and earned him the honors for the second time following his seventh-place finish in 2023.
In addition to Hamlin's two All-America honors,
William Zegarski and
Matthew Forrester are current Bulldogs who have also earned All-America honors during their respective Butler careers.
Barry Keane, Mara Olson, and Erik Peterson are tied for the most All-America accolades in their career under Coach Roe, each with six.
Another notable All-American under Coach Roe's resume includes Rob Mullett in 2010. Mullett earned the honors in the men's indoor mile, while earning Horizon League Indoor Athlete of the Year.
Under Roe, the Bulldogs have earned their best all-time NCAA Division I finishes in school history in Men's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Women's Cross Country, while producing the first three NCAA qualifiers in Women's Indoor Track and Field.
