WESTFIELD, Ind. - Butler fell to Morehead State 11-8 on Saturday afternoon at Droplight Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, in the third game of the four-game series. With the loss, Butler slides to 4-10 on the year while Morehead State improves to 7-8 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morehead State struck first in the top of the first inning off an RBI double, giving the visitors an early 1-0 lead. Butler was able to put two on in the bottom half of the frame but was unable to bring either runner home as the Eagles took the 1-0 lead into the second.
- The Eagles added two more in the top of the second as the Dawgs trailed 3-0 heading into the bottom half of the frame. Butler responded with a two-run bomb from Christie, cutting the deficit to one. The Dawgs were able to scratch one more across on a wild pitch, tying the game at 3-3 heading into the third inning.
- The third and fourth were scoreless for both sides. In the fifth, Butler took its first lead of the day off an RBI triple from Gilmore as the Dawgs took the 4-3 advantage into the sixth.
- Morehead State added four runs in the top of the sixth as the Dawgs found themselves with a three-run deficit heading into the bottom half of the inning. BU was unable to scratch any across as the Dawgs trailed 7-4 heading to the seventh.
- The Eagles hit three-consecutive homers in the top of the seventh, extending the visitors' lead to six (10-4). Butler was unable to cut into the deficit in the bottom half of the inning as the Eagles took the six-run advantage into the final two innings.
- After a scoreless eighth, Morehead added another in the ninth as the Eagles' lead stood at seven (11-4). Butler was able to scratch four runs across in the bottom of the ninth with the help of a two-run blast from Rhoades. Butler brought the tying run to the plate with two runners on, but the Dawgs were unable to bring either home, dropping the contest 11-8.
