Box Score Cincinnati, Ohio- The Butler women's lacrosse team fell to Xavier 14-9 on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Elise Latham would get the Dawgs on the board first taking the 1-0 lead. The game would go into a two hour weather delay before returning to action. After returning to play, Latham would get on the board again to give a 2-0 lead to the Dawgs. Xavier would respond with a goal, but the Bulldogs would add four goals from Grace Churchwell, Riley Ryan, Kerrin McGovern, and Maggie Lewis. Xavier would add two more, but the Dawgs would take the lead 6-3 after one. 
 
Xavier would come out firing, adding four goals in the quarter, while keeping the Dawgs scoreless. The Musketeers would take the 7-6 lead into the half. 
 
Xavier would continue to stay hot after the half and recorded six goals in the quarter. Latham and Churchwell each would score a goal for the Dawgs in the quarter. Xavier would hold the lead 13-8 into the fourth. 
 
Latham would get on the board again as the lone goal for the Bulldogs in the fourth. Xavier would add one to take the game 14-9. 
 
Notable Stats:

• Latham recorded four goals on the day.
• Genna Sulek and Olivia DiCarlo each had four draw controls. 
• DiCarlo led the team with three ground balls.
• Samantha Wilson recorded 10 saves.
