The Butler men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 5-2 loss at Xavier. The Bulldogs finish the regular season 8-14 and 2-4 in BIG EAST action, while Xavier finishes 9-13 and 2-3 in BIG EAST play. 

Xavier began the day with a win at No. 1 doubles. Arnesh Singh and Riccardo Baldi responded at No. 2 doubles, taking down Nick Herdoiza and Andrew Spurck, 6-4. Xavier clinched the doubles point with a victory at No. 3. 

In singles play, the bottom of the Butler lineup delivered. At No. 5, Ronin Kasday took down Bode Campbell in straight sets. Nicholas Shirley responded with a straight-set victory of his own at No. 6, taking down Kyle Totorica, 6-4, 6-3. The Musketeers picked up the remaining singles points, as they took home the 5-2 victory.

The Bulldogs look ahead to postseason play, as the BIG EAST men's tennis tournament begins Friday, April 17, at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center in Cayce, S.C. Seeding and schedule for the tournament are to be determined. More information will be made available on butlersports.com.
