Latrell and Chelsey Welcome Back

Latrell Fleming and Chelsey Perry Will Continue in Roles With Butler Women’s Basketball Program

| By:
Assistant coaches Latrell Fleming and Chelsey Perry will continue to be a part of the Butler Basketball program moving forward, working alongside new head coach Maria Marchesano.

Fleming, who served on Austin Parkinson's Butler staff for the last four seasons, will remain with the Bulldogs as an assistant coach. Perry, who spent last season as an assistant on Parkinson's staff, will be in the same role with Marchesano's staff for 2026-27.

"After working with Latrell briefly almost nine years ago, we have stayed connected and have bounced ideas off of each other often," said Marchesano. "I have a lot of respect for his knowledge and his work ethic in this business and have hoped that we could one day work together again. His ability to connect with players is top notch and I'm excited he's agreed to stay on and continue this ride as a Bulldog!"

"Chelsey's love for people first of all, but her passion for player development really stood out to me through this process," said Marchesano. "She's a genuine soul that brings a wealth of both playing and coaching experience to the team and I'm excited she will be here from day one to help get this program to the next level."

Fleming recently completed his fourth season at Butler. The Milwaukee native is heavily involved in scouting, scheduling, and post-play development at BU. Fleming recently completed his fourth season at Butler.
