How It Happened:
· Marquette scored six goals in the first quarter. Butler countered with three of their own in the first 15-minute segment thanks to two goals from
Elle Tomalia and one from
Kerrin McGovern.
· Marquette held Butler scoreless in the second quarter while adding six goals to take the 12-3 lead into half.
· Marquette out-scored the Bulldogs 4-2 in the third period. The Bulldog goals came from
Grace Churchwell and McGovern.
· Marquette recorded four more goals in the final quarter while Butler's
Elise Latham tallied the Bulldogs' lone goal.
