Head Coach Maria Marchesano has announced the hiring of Kendal Muxlow as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Butler women's basketball program. Muxlow spent the 2023-24 season and the 2025-26 season on the Purdue Fort Wayne staff as Director of Operations and as an assistant coach. 
 
"Kendal makes everyone's lives easier," said Marchesano. "Her work in our program over the past few years has helped us make tremendous strides both on and off the court. I am very thankful she is continuing this ride with us and will join us down here in Indy."
 
Muxlow was hired as the Director of Operations for the Mastodon women's basketball program prior to the 2023-24 season. After a year away, she rejoined the staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2025-26 season. Her primary duties in her full-time role were focused on operations.
 
In the 2025-26 season, Purdue Fort Wayne finished 21-14 with a trip to the WNIT Super 16. Alana Nelson was an All-Horizon League First Team pick.
 
Prior to joining the staff, Muxlow was a player for the Mastodons in 2019-20 and 2020-21 before medically retiring. She stayed with the program as a manager in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
 
Muxlow earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2023 and earned a master's degree in education in 2024 from Purdue Fort Wayne.
