INDIANAPOLIS – Butler student-athletes combined for a 3.578 GPA during the 2026 spring semester.
The achievement marks the 15th consecutive semester that Butler student-athletes combined for a 3.3 GPA or higher and betters the Bulldogs' fall semester GPA of 3.526. The spring semester GPA is the highest for Bulldogs since 2020.
"This spring marked another incredible semester for our student-athletes in the classroom," said Butler Vice President and Director of Athletics Grant Leiendecker. "Alongside their dedication to their respective sports, Bulldogs continue to prioritize their academic success. Our outstanding academic services staff does a tremendous job supporting their academic success, and our campus is filled with talented and dedicated educators who play a large role in preparing our young people for life after Butler."
The spring semester saw 105 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 GPA. Butler also had 365 student-athletes make the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, which requires a GPA of at least 3.25. A majority of those honorees (192) also earned President's Award distinction with a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
The softball team recorded the highest team GPA among Butler's programs with a 3.846 mark. The women's soccer (3.825) and dance programs (3.797) had the next-highest team GPAs during the semester.
Fifteen of Butler's 20 athletic programs produced a team GPA of 3.5 or better for the fall semester. All 20 programs achieved a GPA of at least 3.3.
