Butler Unveils 2026-27 Women's Golf Schedule

| By:
Coach Christie Cates and the Butler women's golf program have announced the 2026-27 schedule, a slate that includes 10 events leading into the 2027 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship.

Just as they have done since 2021, the Bulldogs will open the 2026-27 season in Normal, Ill., at the Redbird Fall Invitational hosted by Illinois State. That two-day event runs Sept. 13-14.

The early portion of the Bulldogs' schedule is highlighted by the Butler Fall Invitational Oct. 5-6 at the team's home course, Highland Golf Club.

The fall also takes the Bulldogs to events hosted by Northern Kentucky (Sept. 28-29), Western Michigan (Oct. 12-13), and Dayton (Oct. 19-20). The Bulldogs won the Dayton Flyer Invitational in 2025 as Treva Dodd took medalist honors.

Similar to last season, the UNCG Advance Partners opens the spring portion of the schedule with the Bulldogs in Florida in early February. That month also has Butler in Arizona for an event hosted by Western Michigan.

The run-up to the BIG EAST Championship includes spring tournaments hosted by Jacksonville State (March 7-9), Austin Peay (March 29-30), and Purdue (April 11-12). The Bulldogs will also send individuals to an event hosted by Indiana State April 11-12.

The BIG EAST champion will be decided April 24-26 at the conference championships in South Carolina at the Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club. The BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship was last contested there in 2025 with the men's championship held at Riverton Pointe in 2026.

The Bulldogs return a group led by Dodd, who earned All-BIG EAST and BIG EAST All-Tournament honors during the 2025-26 campaign. Her scoring average of 74.88 paced Butler a season ago. Addi Kooi, Sophie McGinnis and Ashley Freitas – who were each part of the line-up at the 2026 BIG EAST Championship – also return alongside Dodd.
