The Butler women's basketball team will participate in the 2026 UNLV Thanksgiving Turkey Tip-Off, which is slated for Nov. 25-27 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev. 
 
BU will play games against Oral Roberts Wednesday, Nov. 25 and host UNLV Friday, Nov. 27. Both games will tip at 2:30 p.m. (Pacific; 5:30 p.m. Eastern). Loyola Marymount is also part of the event but will not play the Bulldogs. 
 
Butler's game against UNLV will be streamed live on MW+; and live stats will be provided for both contests in the event. 
 
Maria Marchesano enters her first season leading the women's basketball program at Butler after being named the 10th head coach in program history. Marchesano's 14-year head coaching career includes 234 wins across four stops, with the five most recent seasons at Purdue Fort Wayne. She was a four-year letterwinner at Butler, graduating in 2005. She finished her Butler career as the second-best three-point shooter in program history (41.8 percent).
 
The Bulldog roster is now set for the 2026-27 campaign. Saniya Jackson returns for BU after leading the team in both rebounding and steals (in addition to finishing second on the team in scoring) a season ago. Her twin sister, Nevaeh, is also back for the Bulldogs. Karina Bystry, a Horizon League All-Freshman selection from Northern Kentucky, and Tamar Singer, a MAC All-Defensive team selection from Miami (Ohio), will make an immediate impact. Lili Krasovec follows Marchesano from Purdue Fort Wayne, where she averaged double figures last season. Those five Bulldogs are joined by additional exciting newcomers to compose the 12-player roster.
