Two Bulldogs are among the field at the World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26, which begin Wednesday at Hayward Field.
 
More than 1,800 athletes from 147 member federations are entered in the championships.
 
Poppy Healy will represent her native New Zealand in the 800 meters. Healy arrived at Butler in January and ran a personal-best 2:08.40 during the 2026 season.
 
Canadian Ryan Georgeson is entered in the 800 meters and as a potential member of Canada's 4x400-meter relay team. Georgeson will begin his Bulldog career this fall. He holds a personal-best time of 1:48.61 in the 800 meters. He owns seven Canadian National gold medals and is the national record holder in the U18 600 meters.
 
Both the men's and women's 800 meters begin with opening-round heats on Wednesday morning.
