Assistant coach Abigail Lagos will continue to be a part of the Butler lacrosse program moving forward, working alongside new head coach Leah Rubino. 
 
Lagos, who served on Maggie Zentgraf's staff last season will remain with the Bulldogs as an assistant coach. 
 
"I am thrilled to have Abigail join my staff as an assistant coach," said Rubino. "She has a great understanding of the game and will play a pivotal role in helping us build our program. She is an excellent coach and brings a plethora of experience to our staff and we are so excited she is a Dawg!"
 
Lagos came to Butler from Duquesne University where she had completed her first year of collegiate coaching, helping the Dukes triple their win total from the 2023 season. As the offensive coordinator, Lagos helped increase Duquesne's totals in categories including points, shots, shots on goal, and shots per game. The Dukes earned two A-10 player-of-the-week selections as well as a postseason All-A-10 selection. 
 
Lagos graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and then continued in graduate school, earning a Master of Science in Sports Management in 2022. She moved on and joined the roster for one season as a player-coach at national-powerhouse Syracuse University where she received a Certificate of Conflict and Collaboration in 2023.
