The Bulldogs will tee off the 2026-27 season beginning this weekend at the Redbird Fall Invitational hosted by Illinois State.
 
The tournament will be held at the Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill. The par-72 course will be set up at 6,169 yards.
 
The Butler line-up in the season-opener includes senior Ashley Freitas, junior Treva Dodd, sophomores Addi Kooi and Samantha Von Rohr, and freshman Rachel Johnson. Freshman Brooklynn Bohnert will also compete for the Bulldogs as an individual.
 
The Bulldogs are joined in the field by host Illinois State along with Augusta, Denver, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois Wesleyan, Indiana State, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and St. Thomas.
 
Sunday's play begins with an 8:30 a.m. (Central) shotgun start and features 36 holes. Monday also begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the final 18 holes.
 
Last season, Butler finished third overall in the event. The Bulldogs were led by Kooi, who carded a 224 (78-72-74) to finish 12th individually in her debut event for the Bulldogs.
 
The Redbird Fall Invitational has been the first tournament on Butler's schedule every season dating back to 2018, with the exception of the fall 2020 season that was impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
