Kooi and Bohnert Lead Bulldogs on Day 1 of Redbird Fall Invitational

The Bulldogs have opened play at the Redbird Invitational with a strong start, sitting in a tie for fifth after the first two rounds.

Butler's Addi Kooi and Brooklynn Bohnert are tied for sixth after the opening day of the 2026 Redbird Fall Invitational.

Kooi led the Bulldogs through the first two rounds, carding a 74 (+2) in the opening round. Currently tied for sixth individually, Kooi followed with an even-par 72 in the second round to finish the day at 146 (+2). She notably closed her second round with a 33 (-3) on the back nine. Kooi's round included two birdies and an eagle on the 453-yard 18th.

 Bohnert also turned in a strong performance in her collegiate debut, carding a 74 (+2) in the opening round. She followed with an even-par 72 in the second round to finish at 146 (+2) and tied for sixth as the Dawgs' individual.

 St. Thomas holds the 36-hole lead at four-over 580. The Tommies used a five-under 283 in Sunday's first round to take control of the tournament. St. Thomas is followed by Augusta (589), host Illinois State (594), and Denver (596). Butler and Northern Illinois are tied for fifth at 600 (+24). The Bulldogs fired rounds of 303 and 297 Sunday. There are 13 teams in the field.

Treva Dodd finished the day at 149 (+5), carding a 75 (+3) in the opening round and a 74 (+2) in the second round. Dodd currently sits tied for 17th individually.

Samantha Von Rohr holed out from the fairway for an eagle 2 on the 346-yard 10th hole Sunday afternoon.

The event marks the collegiate and Butler debuts for both Bohnert and Johnson.
