Biography
AS A SENIOR (2023-24 SEASON): Posted a scoring average of 79.3 on the season, playing a total of 16 rounds...finished 23rd at the 2024 BIG EAST Championship (239, +23).
AS A JUNIOR (2022-23 SEASON): Played in 10 of Butler's 11 events...totaled 27 rounds...her scoring average of 79.15 was sixth on the team...had a pair of Top 10 finishes during the fall portion of the schedule...finished tied for ninth at the 2022 Butler Fall Invitational (229, +19), which included rounds of 73 and 74 to finish the event...tied for tenth at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic (232, +16)...shot an even-par 72 in the second round of the Nittany Lion Invitational Sept. 17...shot rounds of 93 (+21) and 88 (+16) over the first two days of the 2023 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship before a teammate took her place for the third and final round.Â
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021-22 SEASON): Played in all 12 of Butler's events, totaling 33 rounds...posted a scoring average of 79.7...finished 21st at the 2022 BIG EAST Championship with a 54-hole total of 234 (+18)...had two Top-20 finishes during the season...finished tied for 18th at the Lady Jaguar Invitational (49 players) with a 36-hole total of 154 (+10)...finished tied for 20th at the Butler Fall Invitational (83 players)...totaled 225 (+15) in the event...had three rounds of one-over during the season (one 71 and two 73s).
AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21 SEASON): Played in three of the team's six events as the COVID-19 pandemic limited the season to just spring competition...played seven rounds over three events...posted a scoring average of 79.1...her best finish came at the Lady Jaguar Invitational, tying for 11th in the 39-player field...shot a 155 (+11) in the 36-hole event...her best round of the season was 77 (+5) on two occasions...finished tied for 27th at the Indiana State Spring Invitational (160; +16) and tied for 68th at the Colonel Classic (243; +27).
PRIOR TO BUTLER: Standout for The High School of Saint Thomas More in Champaign, Ill., finishing in the Top 10 three times at the Illinois Class 1A state championship...earned varsity letters all four years in both basketball and golf...finished her high school career as a four-time regional medalist, posting an 18-hole average of 71 her senior year...won two sectional titles...in 2019, Bowie was medalist at the MAJGT Orchard Valley Open, posting two scorecards of 63...named to the MAJGT All-Midwest Team and became the first East Central Illinois golfer to finish in the Top 10 three times during state championships...team placed in the Top 5 of the Class 1A team state championship three times...team won four regional championships and two sectional titles...also excelled in the classroom as a four-year Academic Award recipient.Â
